Wrath of the Druids DLC for Assassin's Creed Valhalla Delayed Next Month

Fans of Assassin's Creed Valhalla were recently disappointed after the War of the Druids DLC was confirmed to be postponed to next month. To be more precise, War of the Druids was pushed back two weeks to May 13 after it was previously scheduled to launch on April 29. Ubisoft announced the postponement of the release date via the official Twitter account of Assassin's Creed.

Ubisoft did not share much about the reasons why the DLC was postponed other than mentioning that they wanted to "bring experience or better quality" into the players' hands. Apart from that, Ubisoft also promised to release an article that would allow players to have a closer look at the development process.

 

Reactions to the decision that Ubisoft chose were relatively mixed with most praising the French developer for prioritizing quality. However, not a few were actually disappointed by the decision and took the opportunity to criticize the core game which was called full of bugs and technical problems.

Wrath of the Druids itself will be set in a prime location in Dublin, 40 years after the Viking invasion and presents Irish mythology and legends. The DLC, which can be purchased separately or via Season Pass, is one of two expansion DLCs for Assassin's Creed Valhalla this year, accompanying The Siege of Paris which is slated for release this summer.

While Wrath of the Druids will only be available on May 13, Assassin's Creed Valhalla is now available to play on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, Google Stadia and PC.
