Watch Dogs Legion Confirmed Get 60fps Support on Next-Gen Console
With the presence of next-gen consoles such as the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S, many large developers are trying their best to improve their games to run optimally on these gaming machines. Recently, Ubisoft announced that they will soon be rolling out a 60fps update for the Watch Dogs Legion on the PS5 and Xbox Series X / S.
Previously, the Watch Dogs Legion development team revealed plans for future updates including character customization, new online content, collaborations with other Ubisoft games such as Assassin's Creed Valhalla and a new playable character named Darcy. It seems that they not only want to enrich the content of Watch Dogs Legion but also ensure that players can enjoy it in a smoother performance.
In the Ask-Me-Anything thread about Watch Dogs Legion on Reddit, live producer - Lathieeshe Thillainathan and online director - JP Cambiotti received questions about 60fps performance mode for next-gen consoles. Through a short answer, Thillainathan and Cambiotti confirmed that 60fps support in Watch Dogs Legion for next-gen consoles is in the development stage.
Unfortunately, they did not say when the update would arrive. However, they confirmed that the update will come as part of an upcoming Title Update. Currently, the maximum frame-rate that Watch Dogs Legion can achieve on the PS5 and Xbox Series X / S is only 30fps. This is certainly satisfying news considering that other AAA Ubisoft games such as Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Ghost Recon Breakpoint have received 60fps support.
Watch Dogs Legion itself is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, Google Stadia and PC.
