Summer Game Fest will return in June

Become a competitor to E3.

E3 has become one of the most popular video game events in years with only journalists attending. However, ESA's efforts to make it a festival like GamesCom make them have to rack their brains to keep providing quality gaming information.

Unfortunately, since the COVID-19 pandemic began to break out, they canceled the event. The absence of E3 in 2020 provides many opportunities for other organizers to hold similar events online. One of the closest is Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest.

Summer Game Fest will return in June

The former GameSpot journalist and creator of The Game Awards started the Summer Game Fest with several game media last year to replace E3. The result? He proved to be no less successful with this annual event. But the return of the ESA event in 2021 raises a big question whether Summer Game Fest will return this year.

The answer is yes, the Summer Game Fest will be held again in 2021. Geoff Keighley explained that the event will be held in June 2021. Gamers from all over the world will be able to enjoy the event online free of charge.

The announcement was followed by Keighley with a "free to play" tweet or his live show "play" for free. An allusion to the rumors that had haunted E3 that the online event will have a certain paid corner even though it has been denied by its official Twitter account.

Currently the Summer Game Fest website is on air, but there is no information regarding the event which is planned to be held in June 2021.
