Diablo 2: Resurrected Can be Played by Save Files from Old Diablo 2!

When else will a remastered game be like this?

When a game that was rife in your childhood gets a remake, things like hype can't be avoided, especially if the game was your favorite game first. However, for games with long progress such as RPG games, there might be a little sadness because you can't use your old characters anymore.

Faced with this problem, the remaster of Diablo 2, Diablo 2: Resurrected brings an unexpected feature: you will be able to use your decades-old save file!

Diablo 2: Resurrected game producer, Matthew Cederquist, confirmed this feature in an interview with IGN Middle East. Initially, the development team didn't make this feature on purpose. Incidentally, when the team tried to insert their old save file from Diablo 2, it turned out that Resurrected had successfully loaded the file.

"When we were working on [Resurrected], we started to think about whether the old file could be used again or not, so we tried to insert it, and suddenly we could!" Said Cederquist. "Then we say, okay, this is the best feature ever."

The first Diablo 2 was released by Blizzard on 29 June 2020, as a sequel to Diablo. Diablo 2 is a horror and dark fantasy action, hack and slash RPG game. With exciting gameplay, and a satisfying online experience under the free server Battle.net, Diablo 2 became one of the most popular games of 2000, and is considered one of the best games ever. Diablo 2: Resurrected is built to bring the same experience to modern systems.

Diablo 2: Resurrected will be released this year for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, and Nintendo Switch.
