Genshin Impact 1.3 will add Xiao

What do you remember when you heard the name Matsuoka Yoshitsugu? Many of you may know him as the voice actor of Kirigaya Kazuto or Kirito in the anime Sword Art Online. His career in the anime made his name rise with his distinctive voice which made Matsuoka selected as several voice actors in important roles in today's anime. Call it Yukihira Souma from Shokugeki no Souma or Inosuke Hashibira from Kimetsu no Yaiba.

 

 

 

Its popularity also makes Matsuoka chosen as the voice actor for the character who will soon be added to Genshin Impact, namely Xiao. Precisely in patch 1.3 which will be released on February 3, 2021 later.

In addition to the addition of Xiao, patch 1.3 Genshin Impact will also present the Lantern Rite event which was previously implemented during the closed beta period. In this event, players can find out more about the history of the city of Liyue with a very thick Chinese culture. A very fitting update was added at the beginning of February, considering that the Chinese New Year will fall in mid-February.

Of course in the future players will be assigned to help the NPCs prepare for the festival to enjoy the celebration. When the festival starts, players will be able to see the lanterns being flown at night. Each lantern symbolizes the request of the Liyue residents to be flown to heaven.

Xiao himself is a Yaksha who is a five-star character. He will carry a spear with the power of Anemo or wind. Xiao has elemental burst with higher damage, but will also reduce his HP continuously.

During the Lantern Rite event, players will be able to claim 10 Intertwined Fate (for gacha) via daily login and get more than 1600 Primogems and several resources, including the Crown of Insight which is also used to increase the character level limit.

Not only that, players are also given the opportunity to get free 4-star characters from Liyue. In other words, one of the characters among Xiangling, Chongyun, Ningguang, Xinqiu, and Xinyan could be obtained without gacha.

Version 1.3 Genshin Impact will also add several new features. One of them is the Archive which will record all enemies that have been found and defeated. Players will also be able to show off their eight characters on the profile screen. Meanwhile, a new gadget called Parametric Transformer will be able to transform the material found into something more useful.

Update 1.3 Genshin Impact will be released on February 3, 2021 on all platforms, both PC, Mobile, and PlayStation 4.
